As one of Charlotte's most talented veterinary orthopedic and soft tissue surgeons, Dr. Thomas Watson leads a seasoned team of trained and licensed animal technicians with more than 100 years of experience. Dr. Watson is the founder and owner of the Carolinas Veterinary Medical Hospital serving patients from puppies and kittens to lions and tigers since 1998. After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University in 1993, Dr. Watson relocated to Charlotte and worked as an associate veterinarian and a traveling relief doctor at vet hospitals throughout North Carolina. While in veterinary school, Dr. Watson was called to serve his country as an Army combat officer during Desert Storm. Committed to his team and serving the Charlotte community, Dr. Watson regulary donates his time and skills to non-profit organizations for homeless pets and was the "Resident Veterinarian" on Charlotte's Fox News Rising morning TV show for 6 years. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Watson enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking, golf, scuba diving, and photography. He is the proud parent of his son Lucas and numerous rescued dogs and cats: 2 dogs and 1 cat at this time.
